Abstract

The writer is the best pulse of the society, he closely observes the economic, social and political situation and its negative and positive effects. The economic and social system was affected, and there were long-lasting effects on literature and the same effects are still present in our society. The great leaders made the division of the sub-continent possible with day and night efforts and a piece of land was called by the name of Pakistan .Independence did not mean that immediately after coming to Pakistan, an atmosphere of peace and tranquility was established and everyone was comfortable and satisfied, but after independence, a scenario emerged on this land which changed it economically, socially and socio-politically. The country has never been allowed to stabilize. Khadija Mastoor's novel "Zamin" describes the atrocities in which the problems of migration and riots, illegal disposal of property and our political attitudes are unveiled. The study will try to be done in the post-colonial context in order to be aware of the situations and events and hardships that the people had to suffer after independence.
