Abstract

Psychology is a study of mind, behavior and soul .It is being studied from a long time. A lot of experiments and studies are being done in it. Freud’s theory is one of the most important theories of this field. This theory is also helping in the field of literature. This article has same glance of Freud’s theory of psycho-analysis. Sadat Hassan Manto showed the character of ‘’ Miss teen wala’’ according to Freud’s theory of Psycho-analysis and it’s a good example of it. Behind Freud's theory of psychoanalysis is the study of the literary masterpieces he read during therapy. They include Shakespeare, Dostoevsky, Schiller, Goethe, Coleridge, Wordsworth, Arnold etc. It is also of fundamental importance that Freud was primarily a scientist.
